I began to reminisce about the 1976 bicentennial, yes I am that old, and I thought back to one of the best 4th of July events I have ever been involved in. That was the first year I got that “Damn I am lucky to live here in America” feeling. I loved that feeling and it made me smile as I watched the sky light up in beautiful colors. I did not set off the fireworks, I did not plan a huge party, I was a very young American for goodness sake. I realized that day just how important it was to celebrate the birth of out nation. Imagine if no one came out to see the fireworks, what if no one planned a picnic or seen a concert, or went to a park with their families. One of the best parts of being an American is the ability to celebrate, we are ALLOWED to celebrate what we want, we can gather in huge masses of people and make a bunch of noise, and we can party until the sun comes up if we want to. Not everyone in the world is so lucky, so if you start to feel like you may not want to do anything today, you begin to grumble about the crowds on the streets and at the events tonight. Remember you can decide to go or not to go. Ask someone who has had that CHOICE taken away from them how that feels. We have brothers and sisters and sons and daughters in uniform right now, fighting for their lives because they believe our rights count and are valuable. They deserve our support no matter where they are or the reason they were sent there, they love our rights, to support or not to, and that’s good enough for me. Winner: Heather Was Bare Elegance And A Not So Private Dancer Private Dancer Magazine and Bare Elegance Model search and Dance Competition Finals (Los Angeles,CA)- Last Monday night at the swanky Bare Elegance Gentlemen’s club in Hawthorn California I was honored to be one of the celebrity judges along with director DCypher and professional pole dancer Jersey. The beautiful group of ladies had won their preliminary weeks earlier in the month to make it to the final round and compete for the huge cash prize and the chance to be the featured model in an upcoming issue of Private Dancer Magazine. The club itself was beautiful and we were treated great by the staff, some of which I had partied with before at various functions and events. We noticed right away the difference between Bare Elegance and some of the other clubs he have visited in the Los Angeles area. Being from the east coast and touring the strip club circuit for years before moving to the Los Angeles area, I felt a bit spoiled by the excitement of the East coast clubs and haven’t felt that same sexy fun until visiting Bare Elegance and rekindling that east coast feel. There were 10 beautiful and talented ladies for the final night and while waiting for the show to start it was easy to tell it was going to be a hard task to pick just one and make her the champion. We also noticed the room full of dancers that looked just as good as the competitors; it’s been a while since I have seen such a sexy shift of strippers at one club. There were three categories to judge the girls in, Overall Stage Show, Beauty, and a third for crowd applause. I am unable to tell you my scoring numbers, but I can tell you the first and second place winners I had tied in points when I turned in my judge’s sheet. Jade, Alexis, Shay, Heather, Lucky, Jessica, Paiton, Sadie, Sierra, & Hayden all did a great job on stage and we enjoyed watching each and everyone of them but as in every competition, there had to be one winner and we had to score 10 beautiful ladies and tell nine of them they did not take the top spot.                       In the end after all was said and done, all four for of the judges agreed that Heather was the winner and deserved the cash prize and the layout in the Private Dancer Magazine. Heather had all the model qualities you would expect from a top model, she was tall, Blonde, tight and toned and smiled on stage while making you stare at her sexy long legs, beautiful breasts and small tight waist. We arrived early at the famed venue because the event we were covering before that did not excite us enough to hold us there the amount of time we allotted for it, but more about the Eye Candy Convention in another article. When we arrived at the Porn Star Ball, there were a few people outside already, and we met up with Photographer Rick Garcia and his crew and caught up since we have not seen them for a while. Pamela Peaks was outside waiting to come in with her co host for her TV show, Kat Kleavage, apparently she was not informed that no video cameras were allowed inside the venue without prior approval. No big deal, there is a party inside and we are going to enjoy ourselves she said. We waited outside for a bit so the women we invited to hang with us could catch up since we were there a little earlier than we expected. Victoria Norton, Gen Tilly, Anita Blue and the Vaughn family all arrived in a short period of time and we went upstairs to the VIP area which was located on the roof patio of the building. While we were walking upstairs we noticed that the main ballroom area of the place was pretty sparse but this did not faze us since we were there way before the strict code of Hollywood party arrival time. No big deal, we headed upstairs and made our way to the bar to gab our first drink of the night. We crowded the bar and I order “A tall stiff overpriced vodka and cranberry” and that’s exactly what I got, $10 worth of plastic cup regular vodka and cranberry juice. I don’t think drinks should be 10 bucks for a bar brand shot, but hey that’s just me, gee I could almost buy two gallons of gasoline for that price. The VIP area was comfortable, everyone milling up stairs seemed to be enjoying themselves. The major sponsor for the night was Rodney Moore and he was walking around talking to everyone, Rodney seems to have become a lot more social as of late, which is good because he has some great stories from the past and his company is still shooting like crazy. Ron Jeremy and Tommy Gunn who were also hosts of the party were there as well talking to people and having a good time. Alex Monstar arrived with a few of his girls and as I looked up from my couch I was sitting on with a crew of hot girls I noticed for the first time that the VIP area was getting packed. We made our way back downstairs to see what was happening there, it was close to midnight and the place should be full by now. To my surprise the downstairs was not as full as the VIP area, the music was still playing and the lights were going but no one was dancing and partying like I had seen in the past at the same venue. I did notice that there were magazines all over the place, the new Lost Anarchy magazine to be exact. The same Lost Anarchy Magazine that yours truly has a monthly column in. Pick up a copy just about anyplace in Hollywood and see for yourself. When we got back upstairs Kat Kleavage was talking to the writer form Variety Magazine, she introduces me and the guy says “Oh I know Batman already”, we had a good laugh at the fact that he may have been reading my columns and did not call me a certifiable hack with a keyboard. You have to have fun with this business or it would not be worth it at all (OK, The Daily BJs are a nice perk) We will leave you with this last thought. The party was fun for us, there were stars there, we got exactly what we expected in the VIP area and still I can not call the Porn Star Ball a success. I have not spoken to the promoters since the weekend but I will venture to say they were not happy with the turn out and will most likely be making some changes before their next event. We arrived at 9pm which in the porn party world is like bright and early in the morning, and the place was already pretty active, the red carpet outside was just beginning and the girls were already doing their best to show off what they had to make us remember who they were. We stayed for a few hours and tried to toggle between both parties going on the same night. We tool off for the other party after that and then came back for the last hour of the Xpeeps party and it was still packed when we arrived for the second time. I grabbed a ride back with my friend Gia Nova, a feature entertainer from Atlanta who was in town for the convention. When we got inside my T- Shirt guy (www.creepssellinggarbage.com ) was there and they told me they gave out all of the A! Entertainment shirts already and that it has been a mad house inside since they arrived. I would name every girls and industry person that was there but there were just too many to list them all. The pictures have the names on them if you scroll over them. What a great start to a busy weekend, oh and as far as I could tell everyone on the flier showed up and had a good time. I can’t put my finger on the difference between this year and the past years but we have to say we were running around like crazed reporters talking to maybe a hundred people in their booths. We do have to admit one small factor that may have changed the plight or our day. We love the fact that in the Rock Arena, which is an area inside the Erotica LA convention floor, not only are you welcomed by our on the road sponsor HellHouse Media, but right across the “Arena” in the rock row that includes, Motorhead, The Genatortures, and Metal Sanz, was our favorite booth of the day, “I love Blow” was the name of the product and boy did that draw the attention of the passers by. If you do or don’t  know the small fact about the reason I have never in my life done “Blow” “Snow” or any other version of that powder, and no I’ve never been skiing, Ask me and I will tell you all about it one day.   I walk up to the I Love Blow booth and notice white powder everywhere, what is this stuff I ask the staff in the booth and they tell me its an energy powder that dissolves easily in liquid. I check out a bit of the energy drink, and it tastes good, like berries. When my camera crew catches up with me, we begin to interview the I love blow people and during the interview I am told that you can eat the powder right out of the cute little glass vile it comes in. I open one and pour it in my mouth, “so how much energy is that” I ask after. What you just swallowed is the equivalent the five cups of coffee.  All I can tell you after this is, well the stuff works, it really, really works. Besides that experience Ill have to pick our interview with Adam & Eve contract star Ava Rose in the FAME booth as our second favorite thing of the day, Yes we co hosted the Screaming O Orgasm contest with the smoking hot Nikki Benz, and yes being on stage for the thousands of screaming fans was cool, but Ava Rose is one of the quickest wits in the business, and interviewing her reminds me of my weekly Wednesday night Casting Couch Comedy show that we have in Burbank. Evil Angel had a huge line at their booth, Rodney Moore was noticeably popular with Sunny Lane in his booth, and Jenna Haze had a little army of fans at the Jules Jordan booth,. The stars were out for the first night Tera Patrick, Stormy Daniels, Alexis Amore, Gina Lynn all had good evenings. I could go on and on about he girls, but lets save some of that for the next two days. Day one was better than any day one we have seen in a while. Tomorrow we will be bringing you another update, a bunch of great pictures, and if day one was any judge, we will be telling you that day two almost killed us with excitement. It was a very smart move to make friends with the “Blow”; I mean the energy, people right off the bat.
